Castle Acre

A village in West Norfolk that boasts a Norman castle and bailey gate, a Cluniac Priory, a river with largely open access meadows with many walks, a wealth of history and biodiversity and being the junction of two long distance walks, the Nar Valley Way and Peddars Way.
I do not claim to be expert in any of the topics in these galleries (although I’m learning simply from doing them) but they are a record of what can be seen and enjoyed in this wonderful place. I hope you will be able to share some of my feelings from the photographs - the mist on the river at sunrise, the flash of colour as a kingfisher or dragonfly catches the sun, dewdrops on cobwebs at dawn, mist across the valley, fields full of poppies………………
